If My Log Books Could Talk Series

IMLCT-2 is the follow on to my military flying career with some overlap. At readers request, I’ve added a few military flying stories to the beginning of  IMLCT-2.

The stories in IMLCT-2 deal more with the challenges in dealing with passengers with medical issues, possible illegal activity, fellow employees and challenging weather. On numerous occasions, I depended upon my critical thinking, personal values, and morals to guide me through these situations. There were also issues during layovers that kept me on alert.

 Years before I stopped flying professionally. I had made the decision, that once I stopped flying for an airline, that my active piloting would also stop.  Though it’s taken some time, I feel I’m in a good place, sitting on the boards of a few non-profits, and actively working with the same organizations. Proceeds from book sales, help me help others. I’ve also enjoyed speaking engagements and meeting with various book clubs, both virtually and in person.  

Disclaimer: As with anyone recounting a story to friends and family, those enclosed are of my best recollection. There are places where I did exercise a bit of creative license. Some names and places have been changed to protect the privacy of those referenced. Not every story paints all those involved in a favorable light, myself included, however it was never my intent to harm anyone. I learned from my screw ups and I hope others did as well. For some of these events, I could have spent years researching the specifics. In the cases where I determined it didn’t detract from the story line, I didn’t bother.
